Update on my microdiscectomy performed April 27, 2012. I am 6 wks post op today and have been 100% painfree for the past week. Mild sensitivity at the incision and I don't fatigue much at the end of the day anymore. I have started stabilization exercises at home and am progressing them without any issues so far. I've been back at work part time with modified duties initially at about 50% now modifying about 25%. Back to work full time next week. I try not to sit more than 20-30 min at one time in general. I will be going back to the gym to start walking on the treadmill progressing to the elliptical. I can tolerate being on my feet on and off for 4-5 hours but haven't really walked continuously more than 45 min to one hour so far. I hope to continue feeling this great as I get back to my normal life. First time I have not been in some kind of sciatica pain in 7 years!
