Hi everyone,
Has anyone had a laminectomy or laminotomy? How was your recovery and were you satisfied with the final outcome?
Thanks so much.

I had a laminectomy and discectomy at L4-L5. It was the least invasive and most conservative surgery my doctor thought might possibly help. Recovery from that was easier than my cervical surgery. I understand this surgery is much easier than a lumbar fusion surgery and the more levels, the more difficult. Unfortunately it helped a little but within a couple months or so later it was back and some pain and numbness has spread. I knew this was possible because of issues in surrounding levels. I'm glad I tried it.
    4 level ACDF C4-C7 5-2-11, laminectomy & discectomy L4-L5 1/26/12, ALIF L4-5, L5-S1 12/10/12.
