Bi-lateral cervical anthroplasty

Hi I have been advised that I need to have bi-lateral cervical anthroplasty to resolve the pain issues experienced over the last 2 or so years.
Have found lots of info regarding one disc replacement but not 2?
Has anyone out there been through this procedure or knows about it and can let me have some more info.
I am waiting for next advisory appt prior to surgery but want to know as much as poss before that meeting.

  • The FDA has only approved disc replacement on one level. I am no sure insurance would pay for 2. I am facing surgery on my neck but they want to fuse 3 levels and I am looking for a doctor that will do a disc replacement instead of fusion. I am on Medicare and am currently trying to find out whether or not Medicare covers this type of surgery.
