My pain level goes up quite a bit in the colder weather. There is no avoiding it for me, as I have to take fur child out potty, run errands etc. I have seen many posts that others here have the same pain/cold issue. So I was hoping we could share are tips on things we do to help
This year I bought men's (mens seem thicker to me) long john underwear to wear under my jeans. I also bought women's leggings for the same purpose but for when I don't want the long johns to be seen peeking out lol
I wish I could afford when of those auto car starters so my car would be warmed up for me. Instead I have to go out, start it & then come back inside for about 10 minutes. It is still worth the extra effort. Plus this winter I have a car that has heated seats!!!
Just yesterday I started to use those hot pocket warmth patches. Like for sore muscles & such. I have a specific area of my back that goes into spasm BIG time if it gets cold.
I bought the off brand before & they work just as well as the costly name brand ones. I also buy the ones for the knees instead of the larger ones for the back. I get more in a box for same cost and the knee ones cover the area I need it to cover.
The wrap part does not go around my waist like the back ones do but A. I have the back ones from before & saved the wrap around part B. I am using the wrap from the knee ones & just using my pants to keep it in place.
I also bought a very good quality winter coat on ebay that normally I could not afford in a regular store.
So what do you do to help keep your pain levels due to the cold/damp weather under control?
L1 - S2 "gone" useless in 1 way or another. DDD. RA. Bone Spurs. Tons of nerve damage/issues. Stenosis. Both knees replaced. 50 yrs old. I had a great fall (hence my user name) at age 41 and it has been a domino effect every since.
