I injured my back at 26 and am now 45. I had a diskectomy on L-4,L-5,S1. My surgery helped my leg pain but I still have back pain. My surgery worked for 2 months. I woke up and all the leg pain was gone. However, in my pre-surgery MRI you could barely see the nerve. I was told I had permanite nerve damage but they didn't know how much. Scar tissue grew and wrapped around the little bit of nerve that was left. I was also diagnosed with FMS, degenerative disk disease before my surgery. My only choice is and was too operate again and lose complete use of left leg, morphine pump, stimulator, or rx meds. I chose the rx meds. I havd used fentanyl 75 for the past 7 years with no upping dosage, neurontin, robaxin, and butabital for migrains. I now have neuropathy in both lower legs with foot drop and ostioprosis. I fall a LOT. My last fall with walker I broke 4 ribs. I just got a kool candy purple wheelchair. I also have a electric wheel chair but don't want to use it all the time since I want to keep fit. I am in the process of getting walkaides for both legs. Who has used or has info about walkaides? Does anyone have tips(keep getting my finders stuck in wheel guard) tricks, storage ideas for caring items, know about mountain/all terrain wheels (I ride dressage and use with and around my horse Lilly)
