Foot twitching

My foots been twitching for about 2 days now, its on and off but when i sleep it is crazy non stop annoying.,. It doesnt have to do with my back or anything, i havent injured my body and i just woould like help. How do i stop it, any quick easy ways, that i dont need to leave the house... I cant sleep and when i feel it it makes my hole body itchy and i jump... D: help

  • I don't know if your twitching is nerve related, but sometimes upon waking I have neuropathic itching that is so bone-deep and extreme I'm tempted to stab myself with a fork (but don't of course). The only thing I have found that helps is to plunge my foot into an ice bath. Sure, it's a shock, but it seems to "shock" the itch right out of my foot. Maybe it will work for you, or perhaps you should speak to your physician about a medication for muscle spasms.
L5-S1 ALIF w/ posterior instrumentation scheduled 2/20/13, wish me luck!
