I'm 5 weeks post op MIS TLIF L4/L5 and my right knee prevents me from doing more than just walking round the house for short periods at a time. It feels like my back is recovering well and I'm told to walk, walk, walk. Don't think it is sciatic pain, more like an overloaded knee and it might be inflamed. I don't know. As soon as I was able to walk outside (approx 1,5 weeks after surgery) I started walking twice a day, 1-2 miles at a time. This is more or less the same distance I used to walk each day, to work and back, prior to surgery so the daily distance is the same. Still, it feels like my knee and leg is overloaded and I don't understand why.
Anyone out there with the same problem? Any idea how to get past this? Of course I can rest, for days, and hope it will help but I need to move around for my back to heal.
Both my back and my mind need the walking :-)
Appreciate any help!
