Hi everyone!
I am 29 years old and a stay at home mother of 2. I have been dealing with lower back pain for about 8 years now. 5 years ago I had underwent a few tests including a LS X ray. They found 2 narrowed disk spaces, mild levoscoliosis, mild osteopenia, and a transitional vertebra. I was just informed to take Calcium and D+ for the osteopenia but no help regarding the pain. Fast forward to 3 months ago, I now have leg pain in my right leg and a weird warming sensation that I feel on my right foot numerous times a day. My pain has also increased the past few years. It is at it's worse when standing for longer than 10 minutes. I went to my doctor and he ordered an X ray. It came back the same as the last one. He now wants to do an MRI because he said the X ray wouldn't show if the disks were herniated, etc. So the journey to answers and hopefully a solution begins. I can take a great deal of pain, as I have for years but now it seems to be worsening. I will search this forum and site for information. Thank you in advance for your support.

Thank you! :) I have the MRI scheduled for May 17th. I will let you know my results.
  • Welcome to our forum! Did you have a standing X-Ray? If not, I'd certainly ask for one. Let us know how the MRI goes . Several of us understand how complicated physically and emotionally it can be to be a mom of younger children while dealing with spine issues. Hang in there. Let us know how the MRI goes. You might want to call your spine doctor (or whoever ordered the MRI) and request some meds for it. The last MRI I had was brutal, I wish I would have called and asked.
33yo mom of two. My surgical history...preadolescence scoliosis, kyphosis, and a hot mess.... 5 spine surgeries and lots of items added I wasn't born with (titanium, peek, surgical steel). Guess cremation is out. TSA loves me.
  • Hi Sublime, please keep us updated. Being young with children and dealing with this is not easy at all. I'm glad you found Spine Health and I hope you find answers soon.
