Had final appt. with pain management today, she told me that since I had no "good" outcome of the ESI, the only thing left to recommend, was surgery...I wholeheartedly agree at this point!!
She went through my MRI with me, and showed me that (I may get this wrong...lol), my L3/4, L4/5, and L5/S1 all have moderate to severe herniations, with bilateral affect to both legs...also, my sac joints are severely effected, with my joints/nerves all along my lower back/sac are "very, very, unhappy" (her words lol)
She is making a referral to an ortho, the nearest is about 3 1/2 hours away, in Bangor, to have an eval done, and eventually, surgery...it is scary to me (only been "under" to have teeth out), but exciting all at the same time, because something needs to be done....the pain is unbearable at this point..
If I could get some advice, I would sincerely appreciate it!! Thanks!!
