3 weeks post ACDF surgery and no real change

I am three weeks post ACDF surgery and very concerned about my slow progress. My pain is still very much there and I feel that really not much has changed since the surgery. I'm very worried and getting super discouraged. I had the surgery for herniation of C6C7. I had (still have) pain in left scapula area and pain along my left shoulder with numbness and tingling down the arm. I am still on Tylenol 3 with codeine.

I was wondering if someone else was still not seeing any change this long after their surgery and if it was normal to have such a slow recovery?
