Nucleoplasty in next week + MRI give your opinions PLEASE!

Hi everyone!
I'm scheduled to have a Nucleoplasty next week but still not sure about it :( I'm 28 yo. As far as I know there are many different opinions abt the procedure - some say that it halps for a long time others that it only speed ups the process of disc collapse. The doctor who proposed me this after seeing my MRI said that Nucleoplasty will help me for sure. But I'm not thtat sure after all I read. I have one bulging dsc at L4-5 and and Herniated Disc (contained?) at the lower level (as you see on my MRIs). The only thing that I'm worried about is that the disc high getting lower - even the doctor who offered the procedure mantioned about it but then added that it really doesn't matter :-/ I'm not in great pain like most of you. For couple of months I felt tingling in my feet - actually my fingers felt tingling and I felt pain in my left toe (probably from that disc bulge at L4-5 - correct me if I'm wrong). Now the tingling is gone instead I feel like my fingers are filled with blod which gives feeling of compression - but it's mainly in my left leg which feels weak overall. Could anyone share his opinion about nucleoplasty and tell me is there any trace on the skin laft after the needle after couple of months?
Below are my MRIs:

About traces left on the skin:

I had a total of 4 perforations made on my sides. There are no signs of them ever being made.

And about nucleoplasty. I haven't heard much about it in a long time. It never seemed to have caught on. My only experience with it is interviewing (in 2007) a surgeon in Santa Monica CA that performed it. I just figured that if the annulus didn't contain the nucleus in the first place, how will it contain the new synthetic solid stuff?

  • But it says that you had a microdiscectomy. I'm going to have nucleoplasty which I know is a bit different. I'd love to know if there are any traces after nucleoplasty needle.
