I had a lumbar fusion L4-5 in 8/2012, just found out that it is "incomplete" and that it needs to be done again. I also have issues L5-S1 that need to be addressed. I also had surgery in 1974 for scoliosis and have Harrington Rod attached to my spine from T6 to L3. I need to know why did the fusion from the 8/12 fail, or not be complete. Is this a frequent occurrence?
Did I do something wrong to make this happen? Or, is it just "one of those things"?
What are the chances of the next surgery being a success? Are there any other options? I am age 55 but I feel like I am 25, in my mind..lol
