Core Strength

I am currently in PT for Tlif recovery. They keep telling me that my core is very weak. Do you have any routine that you are doing to strengthen your core?

My body needs all the help it could get, lol.

I'm, in pt now and it seems to be loosening me up. Been working my core excersises and lots of stretching. Pain is up and down. My insurance only authorized 7 visits. Have 2 left and feel I need lots more. Don't see my Dr till the 20 th. Oh well glad to hear you are doing so good.
    Take care
  • I am sorry to hear your insurance is limiting your visits. I want to get as many in as possible before I return to work. I need quite a bit of core strengthening. I have endured 10 years of back pain. I had a Tlif in July and have been progressing very slow.

Do all the pt you can before going back to work. My surgeon told me no pt and he thought I could strengthen on my own.I had surgery in March. Went back to work part time for a month to ease into it. I sit at a computer 9 hrs a day. My pain returned a month after my 3rd surgery
I started seeing a new spine specialist / pm. He thought pt might help. So far it seems to be loosening me up. I hope they extend my visits.

I'm not sure what you do for a living? My employer got me an adjustable desk that allows me to sit or stand. It really helps to change positions.
One of the main core exercises I do is sucking in my gut and holding it for 10 seconds. I do that anytime I can.

    Take care,
