  • Have you had foot drop for 2 years, or have you just developed it? If you have just developed it and they are able to revise your fusion and get the nerve clear, your foot drop should improve. I had foot drop, but it was caused by the surgeries and I was able to regain full use/movement etc... took tons of physical therapy. I know the longer it persists the more likely the nerve can be damaged beyond what it can heal... but hopefully that isn't the case for you. Have you been needing the brace?

Sorry to hear about your failed fusion... so disappointing. I am also "non-union" at L4/L5. That's just a coincidence though.

Best of luck to you. What does your surgeon say?
