At this point I've been informed by the pain management physician that surgery is not an option and that I should look into going back to school and taking something that is not as physically strenuous on my body as being a PSW.
What has happened is we were hit from behind and my 2nd MRI has shown "No intrinsic cord mass, syrinx or abnormal signal seen. Virtually all disc levels are reasonable except at the T7-8 level where there is a small to moderate-sized central disc protrusion which is mildly flattening the cord ventrally at this level"
Also states "Impression: small central disc protrusion at the T7-8 causing some mild ventral cord flattening as described. Minimal dilation of the central canal/tiny syrinx at T5. No other significant thoracic pathology."
I could really use some advice. I take pain medication almost daily, I cannot work long without taking a rest at home mid-day and unfortunately driving is just as much a part of my job as is the physical need.
