Is hip/muscular/buttock pain on left side a symtom of reherniation?

Hey guys,

I am almost 10 weeks post L5/S1 microdiscectomy for removal of a large herniation. I have not been cleared yet for physio, I can't walk much at all and it seems that just as I start to improve I'll have an incident where I'll somehow jerk my back and strain the area. The other day I walked into a doorknob and it connected my right hip bone. The pain meds (oxy contin) make me very groggy and clumsy.

I have been having a lot of weird pain on the left side of my lower back right above the hip and the hip itself and also the buttock. I don't have much pain in the centre of the lower back where the herniation was. I don't know it just feels muscular so what I'm asking is are these types of pains a symptom of reherniation. I'm also having a lot of spasm/twitching and the nerves in my back feel they're jumping around sometimes. I don't have much leg pain at all (just occasional) but then again I didn't have leg pain before the surgery either. I'm also very crooked and pulling to the left side. I'm taking 1 to 2 oxy contin pills a day and I'm also on celebrex for inflamation.

Thanks guys
