Stem cell treatment

Hi my fellow back pain folks. I've been dealing with back pain since May2013 as a result of doing EDIT. I have mild broad based disc bulge at L4-L5 with mild DDD, a tiny annular tear at L5 S1 with a mild bludge. No nerve root compression. Doctors have advised me to take it easy and it's just gonna take time for it to heal. I'm 36 and this has been the most difficult I've ever been through. The pain is costant and it's in my lower back and I have some bilateral leg pain in my calf area. It also feels like my legs barely twitching. The leg pain is a little more tolerable then he back pain, however this makes me fearful that something else is going on. In an effort to be proactive I have considered stem cell treatment Has anyone had this procedure? I really want to a avoid steroid shots if at all possible.

Thank you,

While stem cell research is coming along, there has not been enough technological development to do what the website is promising, as being a cure all to some very difficult medical conditions to treat.....you can not regenerate discs in between the vertebre at this point in our medical advances, nor can you regenerate bone for curing osteonecrosis, which was another medical condition I found while reading the site you were discussing...if these were available, you would see all of us lining up outside their doors instead of going the traditional route of conservative treatment and possibly surgery if we needed to.....
I always stress that a spiney needs to become as well versed in their treatment options as their surgeons, since it is your spine, and you are the one who has to live with the results, good or bad, but I would definately be doing far more research and looking for peer reviewed medical journals that back up the websites claims before even considering this promised cure for DDD.
