I just got a letter of Non-Medical necessity and appropriateness for the drug treatment review of my case. (Ca. work comp.) insurance co. Done by a company that has retired Drs. making decisions about a patient they have never seen or talked to. Based on a bunch of mumbo jumbo That I don't understand. What a joke!
I get them periodically over the last many, many years that I was awarded lifetime back care by a judge. After the first one several years ago. I went to my Dr. in a panic. And showed it to him. He said don't worry, just throw it away. He said he got the same one and and he'd handle it. And told me NO ONE TELLS ME HOW TO TREAT MY PATIENTS!
So over the years, I just throw them away when I get them.
But on this one. I got a pain pump put in and managed by a Dr that's his buddy.
So I still need some meds while they slowly titrate this thing up. And even then I may still need some meds. for breakthrough pain. And the times I really over do it.
So till I see him I'll be worrying about it!
