L2-L5 fusion

I'm new to the forum. I'm scheduled for a fusion of L2-L5 on Mar 3. I've had years of back problems including a C5/6 fusion in 1997.

I guess what I would like to know is if anyone has had this particular level of fusion and did you feel like it helped your pain symptoms?

  • Had L2 to S1 surgery 7 years ago and I was nearly pain free for about 5 years. I have a graft that did not fuse and it is now giving me trouble. There has been some wear and tear at the ends of the fusion too, but I was told that could happen. I have osteoporosis which make all that worse. I don't regret my surgery at all.
