Monday I go in for a discectomy. I am 29 years old, athletic, healthy and scared to death of gaining weight and falling out of shape. I do Tae kwon Do and jujitsu classes daily and it kills me knowing I will be falling behind my classmates. What, if any, advice is there that wont let my muscles atrophy too much? How quick can I get back into my sports? Anything would help. Thank you.
