I have had chronic low back pain for over 2 years now. It came on suddenly there was no injury or anything like that. The pain has always been pretty constant but in the beginning it was bearable to handle on my own without meds, but it has since gotten much worse. I have gone back and forth on meds with my doctor because I do not want to get addicted to the pain meds. Currently I am taking Gabapentin, Cyclobenzaprine (a Muscle Relaxer), Vicodin for pain, and Meloxicam. I have been on these 4 meds for about a year now. I’ve seen many different type of doctors, pain management, back surgeon, etc and they still are unaware as to what is causing my pain. I’ve had an MRI, CT and X Rays all do not show any issues with my back. I’ve also tried Physical Therapy, Massage therapy, Chiropractor, SI Joint Injections, Epidural Injections, and some type of Electrode machine and have gotten no relief from any. These past two weeks the pain has been the worst it has ever been, I can barely function and everything is a painful struggle. I would just like to have some answers and any amount of relief as it is starting to get tough for me to work and do my normal routines. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.
Also just as additional information since most people ask, my job does not entail any lifting of large objects or anything like that, I work behind a desk sitting all day. My typical hobbies include photography (which I have not been able to do for about 6 months now due to all the bending and moving around), baby sitting for my neices and nephews, and crafting.
