This is a little different one for you to consider. My mom was just diagnosed with Stage 3 Lung Cancer. She is undergoing chemo and radiation. She has been sick to her stomach since starting chemo. One of my family friends lets say "loved the 60's" and has a supply of her favorite pot. She has offered it for my mom to use during chemo. So here is the question; Do I ask my 74 year old mom if she wants to try it for relief from the nausea or just say no to the offer? The doctors want her eating food and not losing weight. It's hard to do that when your puking all day and feeling horrible. The topic of Pot and pain relief has come up on here before, but this is a bit different.
She was prescribed medicine for the nausea, but it's not working well at all. She is not in pain per se from the cancer. Her back has been hurting her, but they said it's not from the cancer. Since they started radiation, her back hasn't been hurting as much. She is uncomfortable, but in her mind uncomfortable doesn't equal in pain. God love her!
