  • Was your condition diagnosed at all? I know you haven't got a thorough investigation of the issue but were the doctors in the hospital or at social security able to tell you what the problem was? I'm not in the US so don't know much about the health system there but are there any free/low-cost clinics for people who don't have insurance? It's ironic, but you will not be able to get disability before the problem has been investigated and treated as best it can be.

They want to know that all reasonable treatments have been tried, before accepting that you cannot go back to work. It is a tough situation you're in. You need to find a way to get decent medical care. I hope some of our American members can offer you some advice on what services are available. Good luck.
