I am a newbie as stated. I am a 53 YO retired Military guy with multiple health concerns. I have been through the Disability Process already, having Chronic Pain Disorder Associated With Both Psychological Factors and a General Medical Condition, due to my back, neck, knees (almost at the TNK replacement stage) What I am hoping for today is a deciphering of what all of this means from my MRI's and why in the heck I have constant lower back pain.
Its the dull achy never leave you type that, when I turn twist or bend causes instant lightning like pain. Not always, but most of the time. Even when I am just sitting I can get a lightning bolt through my spine? I have constant stiffness also.
Now I recognize that being Bipolar and having Chronic Pain is like peanut butter and Jelly. http://www.practicalpainmanagement.com/treatments/psychological/treatment-pain-bipolar-patients-clinical-challenges
But what I can not figure out is why my lower back goes out on me all the time.
Now my Cervical area is another story. It is constant pain made worse when I turn (it catches) or look up or down. I have numbness in my hands on a regular basis. I have moderate Carpal Tunnel also.
Can any one make sense of this?
C3C4 Severe lack of disc space, small posterior disc osteophyte, mild posterior ligamentum thickening, severe bilateral neural foraminal narrowing, mild canal narrowing, mild facet degenerative change
C4 C5-Mild uncovertrabal hypertrophy, mild bilateral nueral narrowing,
C5 C6-same as above
C6 C7- Moderate loss of disc space
MULTILEVEL DISC DISEASE, WORST AT C3 C4.SEVERE NEUROFORAMINAL NARROWIN FROM UNCOVERTBAL HYPERTROPHY MODERATE RIGHT FORAMINAL NARROWING AT C6 C7. MILD NARROWING AT LOWER LEVELS
T11 T12 Degenerative Disc Disease
L2 L3 CIRCUMFERENTIAL DISC BULGE WITH POSTERIOR ANNULAR FISSURING RESULTS IN MILD BILATERAL LATERAL RECESS EFFACEMENT. ATTENUATION OF L5 PARS INTERARTICULARIS WITHOUT DISCRETE PARS DEFECT
What the heck does all of this mean?
