  • Hi bluerosy, I have had chronic pain for years was dx with fibro about 5 years ago. mine has gotten a lot worse for me, even though I was told I had severe Fibro. w/ muscle spasms. I finally joined a support group on FB which has helped a lot, since I can whine,vent,yell, lol. All of us with Fibro keep praying they find something to control our pain, or even find a cure! As I am typing with I have been in a really bad flare for a few days {{{soft hugs}}}
  • Hi bluerosy, i was diagnosed with fibro 33 years ago and I have to tell you i went from great pain, to almost no pain, back to horrible pain in a matter of years. I think you have to get yourself a neurologist and work with him/her I started seeing my neurologist three wears ago and I have had days when I couldn't even stand but through trial and error with different medications I am finally in a place where I barely even notice the pain. It is not a progressive disease in itself but with age your bodies tolerance for pain lessens and it may seem as though you are getting worse. It is definitely harder to move around I have had some really bad flares where I couldn't even get out of bed, I pray i dont get another flare for a long long time.
    I know you wrote this a while ago and I hope you have found some answers to your questions and medication that will ease your pain. Fibro is a horrible disease and as sharon suggested there are a few groups on fb that I belong to also, chronic pain suffers unite is my favourite. Best wishes
