oanzapine for neck pain?

Hello,I had a c6-7 acdf operation about thirteen months ago because of bone spurs compressing my nerves.I have had neck, shoulder and head pain since the operation which is permanent [it only hurt after heavy lifting before the op].I saw my gp a couple of months ago and he gave me neck and shoulder exercises to do but it seemed to make the pain worse.I returned to my gp yesterday and told him this so he prescribed me paracetamol, ibuprofen gel and olanzapine.I was on olanzapine a few months ago for a short time but stopped taking them. When I questioned him about taking olanzapine for neck pain he said olanzapine may help with muscle tightness.I told him I wanted an x-ray to check if the bones had fused as no one has checked since the op and he said no because of unnecessary radiation.I think he's tricking me into taking olanzapine and in the mean time I'm not getting any pain relief. My question is has anyone ever heard of gp's giving anti psychotics for neck pain?and shouldn't someone have checked to see if my bones have fused?
