Slip Disc Problem

I am suffering from slip disc problem for more than 2 months. Due to which i had pain in my lower back as well as right leg. I consulted an ortopaedic surgeon and after the MRI scan, i was diagonsed with L4-L5 and L5-S1 narrowed disc and also the nerve is pressed due to this slip disc. Doctor gave me an "Epidural injection". Due to injection i got some relief for just 3-4 days but then again pain started. I consulted the doctor again and he said we can try another injection and if there is no effect of the 2nd injection, then surgery is the next option. But i don't want surgery. So can someone please suggest me, what can be the other way to recover from this.

Waiting for some positive and quick replies.
