I messed up my back pretty bad 6 months ago, kept lifting after it happened thought it was just a pulled muscle. 2 months later got an MRI revealing l5-s1 herniation. I did pt for about four months and have minimal back pain now but have some sciatica. Examples being pain down the leg and in my foot. Just wondering if it takes longer for the nerve to heal. I race dirtbikes and really want to start again just wondering when that could be, I'm continuing ab workouts and taking it easy till then.
Any advice or insight would be great. Btw I just turned 19 so figured it'd be a plus in the healing process that I'm young
