Moxibustion (Acupunture) Treatment

Hello All,

I have multiple prolapsed discs. Though I am able to walk now, I am not able to run. Recently I took an epidural injection which started causing pains in different areas.

However, there has been pain improvement since I started taking Glucosamine and Chronditine tablets. I still get sharp shooting pains in my left leg sometimes though.

I was told that Moxibustion along with acupuncture will really benefit me. Moxibustion is basically heat therapy (where they heat the other end of the needle). Has anybody done this? Has any of you benefited?

Please let me know if you have additional queries. Thanks.

  • I am not familiar with heating accupuncture needles. I am pretty sure that while accupuncture can not heal discs, the use of accupuncture may help to relieve the pain involved. The only way to know is to give it a try.
