Mid left side T 4&5&6 locations shoulder area spasm pain

I have tried everything,,,,,can't get injections, too close to surgery date.

But is the T 4 through 6 on the left side between shoulder and spine I have been getting horrific spasms, sometimes on both sides,,so bad they actually have moved my ribs out of place,,really need to get to OMM this week and have it fixed,,,,but have been using ice and heat alternating...pain meds really not much help,,allergic to every muscle relaxant so far, and cox-2- inhibitors,,,,and anti-inflammitories,,,,so sort of limited on meds...

I do take tylenol without codien, allergic to codien also....:(

Put a lidoderm patch on over an hour ago, no relief from it yet!

But past few days have been bloody hell to be quite honest and I have several broken ribs and hand and pelvis to top it off, but the spasms hurt worse than all of it!!!

Any suggestions are very welcome!!

Thank in advance!

  • I know someone who can't take muscle relaxants but uses Valium to do the same job...have you/can you try that?
    Osteoarthritis & DDD.
  • yes, I take Valium also, does not help much anymore, but thank you!
  • I know you said that it's too close to surgery for injections...would that include Botox injections into the muscles? I've had that & it helped. Sorry I can't be of more help. I'm just throwing ideas out there. I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't take muscle relaxants, they're a life saver for me. I'm currently taking Baclofen, I know it's a little different from Cyclobenzaprin, Tizanidine etc. have you tried it?

  • hi, yes can't take any of those :( did ask doc about botox many times and he never did order anything, just nods his head,,see him in a week, going to ask why not by now, been asking for over a year now :( by the time it is approved will be surgery time, yep another all nighter :( thank you though!
