I have become incredibly confused and frustrated. Quick details since 12/21/13 to 4/24/14 I've had 5 back surgeries at the same level. First 3 were microdisctomies because of a herniated L4/5 disc. That failed 3x. Then had a fusion then final surgery was to revise right L5 screw, remove massive scar tissue and clear an infection in the instrument bed. Now I have the worst pain I have ever felt and it goes down my right leg to my toes. I have balance issues, I fall daily, I vomit daily because of pain, my groin goes numb and leak/lose control weekly. First 3 were by an Orthopedic Spine Specialist, last 2 by a neurosurgeon.
My NS referred me to the EDIT this week as he is lost. Current symptoms I have another large collection of fluid in the same spot, more massive scar tissue, extreme pain and issues listed above. , I saw an Orthopedic and a very renowned NS. Both told me I have permanently damaged nerves and nerve roots and that there is nothing that can be done to help me. I was told and I quote to deal with it.
I am only 30yrs old, a father to 4 wonderful daughters and thank goodness I have a great wife. This has ruined my life. I have issues dressing and bathing myself. I have issues showering and no answers. Any and all help would be great. Just looking for a.direction or do I just accept these answers and try to deal with it?
