Just my take but I wanted to pass this on for anyone suffering from FBSS. I was diagnosed with FBSS about 9 months ago from L4/L5 lamanectomy in Feb 2013. I have chronic pain in my feet/ankles/calves which appears to be a referred pain from inflammed nerves in the L4/L5 region. I started taking Celebrex (2/day) early April 2014 and within a week I noticed that I was having some really good days in regards to pain relief. I wasn't sure if I was getting relief from the Celebrex or I was just having a good week in general. In mid June I began taking one a day and by July 1st I had quit taking the Celebrex completely. On or about July 9th I was in a tremendous amount of pain and it had lasted for several days. I figured I was in a flare, but then I remembered the Celebrex and it all clicked. On July 21st I began taking the Celebrex (2/day) as prescribed and noticed that over the course of the next two weeks I received considerable relief.
The point being that I've tried Celebrex a couple of times off and on and it appears to work wonders for my FBSS pain. I wanted to pass this on in the hopes that even if one person tries this and gets relief than my time writing this post was worth it. Good luck to anyone trying it in the near future.
