Severe knife like pain in c5-c6 fusion site 2year post op.

Pain, pain go away! Im 2 years post op from C5-C6 diskectomy. Recovery was long painful and frustrating. All pain in head was alleviated following surgery. I'm currently experiencing severe pain in the fusion site when I lift light things along with repeative motion. Im wondering, why? It gets so bad that I have to stop doing whatever i was doing and head for bed. The pain is wearing me down. The surgeon that did my surgery is temporary not a doctor. So I have no one to consult with about it. But its getting worse and Im concerned. Im wondering if anyone has experienced this? And if so, what they did to get rid of the pain? I was also told by a past patient to keep the fusion site warm all the time. Has anyone ever heard of that? Thanks for reading my post and advise. I really want my life back pain free.
