heel lift

I went to the spine Dr to discuss my flare up of my bulging disc at L5/S1 that's causing me some sciatic nerve issues. I also have scoliosis. While there she commented that my hips are very uneven, which I have been told numerous times. She suggested I see a specialist to get fitted for a heel lift. She thinks the extra pressure from the unevenness may be part of the reason for my discomfort.
Does anyone have any first hand experience with a heel lift? Seems that I'm finding a bunch of negative feedback when I Google this.

  • You would need to be seen and evaluated by a podiatrist. He would tell you if you in fact need the lift and would order one custom made for your particular condition. My mother in law uses them and find them very helpful in easing her spine related pain due to her hips being uneven.
  • I have an appointment with a doctor in a few weeks to see if I actually do need one, and then if so, to do measurements and what not.
