PT After ACDF C3-C7

Had my first PT session today, 4 weeks post op. I have to admit, I procrastinated by over a week because my last experience with PT when all of this started was horrible.

BUT, I'm so happy to report, today's session was awesome. They gently worked at the knots in the huge incision on my neck and the incision on my pelvic bone. This was followers by very gentle massage, the use of an ultrasound machine on the pelvic area, and a tens unit and cold pack on my right shoulder.

I was sore when I got home, but I feel very positive about the PT process.

Just wanted to share with anyone who is frightened by starting physical therapy.

Happy healing to all.
