Spinal Stenosis

HI, I'm new to this forum
I have severe spinal stenosis at L4 L5 and will likely need surgery. In addition for the past month I've developed really severe pain along the top of my right thigh when I get up from sitting and sometimes while walking. It feels like a very bad spasm and am unable to move when this hits. After searching the internet I believe I'm experiencing Femoral Nerve Entrapment as a result of spinal stenosis. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what did they do about it? Thank you, jfinkel
