Just diagnosed 10/1, Lumbar Stenosis L5

Hi everyone!

Finally, I have a diagnosis! I've been having severe lower back pain, flank pain, and my foot has been numb for 45 days and been through numerous tests:

MRI of abdomen
CT of abdomen
Lumbar puncture
MRI of head
MRI of thoracic spine
MRI of lumbar spine

I went to the hospital last week because of blurry vision and the numbness moved up my leg in to my shin. They originally thought I had MS, but all the tests came back negative for MS. The hospital released me with a cane and some percocet after 4 days. They didn't find anything.

Fast forward to yesterday when I saw a neurologist referred by my PCP. He also said it's not MS, but he looked at the MRI that the hospital did and said, I see lumbar stenosis in L5 and the hospital just let you go without a diagnosis? Long story, shortened - the hospital radiologist missed it. He also said I'm hyperreflexic, and there possibly could be something else in my cervical spine (the one MRI that the hospital neglected to order). So, I'm getting an MRI of my cervical spine on Saturday.

Anyway...hi everyone and hope to learn more and lean on you for pain support and learn more about what's going on with my body.
