Anyone have another lumbar laminectomy after a Fusion?

Male, 39 years old, 185lbs.

This will technically be my 4th back procedure, 1st procedure was a lumbar laminectomy of the l4/l5 in 2007, after an accident in the gym.

The Pain was immediately gone after surgery, I started to feel better and went back into the gym and started again with the weights, after about 5 years, the pain was back, and almost worse than before, Doctor said i needed a Fusion, I have a bone graft lumbar fusion of the l4/l5, no screws/rods etc. Dr. stated when he was in there there was some bone fragments that "made their way out" that may have been caused the pain. This time I didn't go back to the gym, but took the Dr advise of walking and taking it easy for a bit, this was in 2012. Well the pain came back and they gave me a cortisone shot in the back, no gym again, the pain did go away, but only lasted for about 10 months, well after reviewing the MRI, the Dr. stated i needed another laminectomy, he stated there isn't enough room for the disc, which may be causing the pain. What the heck?

How can they give me a lumbar laminectomy when my bone is fused with a graft?

Anybody have to do this, have a lumbar laminectomy for the same region, will it ruin the integrity of the area?

This has really affected my life and those around me, Pro's, con's to doing this?
