L5-S1 disc replacement - 6 weeks out - some pain questions.

Hello All,

I had much lower back pain and some sciatic nerve pain for about 4 years straight due to a highly degenerated disc (L5-S1).
I had disc replacement (prodisc) on August 21, 2014. For the first 2 weeks I didn't do much at all and felt ok aside from surgery soreness. From week 2 to week 4, I got back into regular work activity and tapered off the drugs as well. From week 4 until now (week 6), I have been doing regular work activities with very little pain-killers.

For the first 4 weeks, I had nerve pain in my legs, but that It seems to have dissipated. However in the last two weeks I have elevated my activity (including climbing small ladders and carrying 20 lbs or less) and I notice that I tire really quickly and my back and legs get very tight to the point of pain. I'm in pain right now as I write this after a day of work with some light ladder climbing.

Now that I read what I just wrote I see how dumb this is. I'm a former pro athlete and not moving or being physical is driving me nuts. I need a friend or alibi who can help me know what to expect....and keep me going easy.

This is my first back surgery and I hope I made the right choice. Can someone who has had lower back disc replacement reach out to me??
