Hi everyone,
I've been having hip and leg pain on the left side since July of this year. The pain makes walking any distance difficult, and stairs are also a challenge. I'm depending on my right leg more and more to get me around, which I know is putting me out of balance. In September, had an x-ray which shows hip joint is fine, so doctor ordered MRI. MRI shows some moderate spinal stenosis at L4/L5 which I understand can cause pinching of the sciatic nerve. I'm having PT weekly and also working privately with a Pilates teacher on gentle exercises for the condition. Next step is to try epidurals. May do that soon. Also have consult with a neurosurgeon next week to get his advice on my condition.
