Hi. This is my first post. I am 33 years old and have recently been diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disesase and Spinal Stenosis. I have had the epidural shots and those provided litte relief. Doc now says I should be seriously considering 3 level ADR. I'm not having any direct neurological affects so he said it's more of a pain management. I can continue taking Gabbapentin and Vicodin until I'm ready. My concerns are the procedure itself. I have only seen 1 maybe 2 level done. And the recovery. He said I would be out about 3 weeks. Also, after affects of the surgery. Doc said I will have a little trouble swallowing after words. Has any one had this procedure? How many levels were replaced? How was your recovery? Are you happy you did it? Is quality of life better?
