Okay so first of all I am 16 years of age and for the past 8 weeks I have had quite bad back pain in my lower back. I also have pains down my right leg. I play netball and gymnastics if that helps. What hurts the most is when I try touch my toes and I'm quite flexible so usually I can get my palms on the floor without bending my knees but for the past 8 weeks I can only reach my hands down to around my knees before I get shooting pains in my lower back and down my right leg. I have also been having pains in my knee on and off again. What also hurts the most is trying to sit down on the floor with straight legs out in front of me usually I would be able to get my head to my knees but for the past 8 weeks I really struggle to even sit up with my legs out in front of me. Also when I kick my leg out in front of me as if I was kicking a ball I get a really bad pain in my back and down my right leg. My family does have a history of bad backs as my mum had a slipped disc in her 20's and had to have a operation to fix it. I also seem to get really quite sore around the shoulder blade up to the neck region if that helps you with anything. Also I have played netball 2 times since the injury but I can't do any gymnastics movements at all. I am usually a very fit and healthy girl. So if in any way you could help me with this situation that would be great, thanks in advance!
