Newbie here,I was in a car wreck in 2001 where I was thrown out of the car on my head. I felt a really bad pain in my back. Because I didn't have insurance they did not do a cat scan. I started going to a doctor, you swimming, water work outs etc. I was 41-now I am 56. OH pills her never worker. I never knew when I was younger the doctor didn't do surgery not pills. Now I started out with a cane. Not I use a walker. And getting close to the wheel chair. Oh I fight it every every day to keep gong. Am on Oxycodone 5-1 to 2 daily and Methocarbamol 750 1 !/2 to 2 pills a day. HA does not work Doctor is hard head. I walk around my house bent over half way. I have not slept in a bed since 01. I sleep in a recliner. Does any one go through this?

Please try to clarify this thread. I am somewhat confused about the start and where you are now. If you never had a CTScan, how did your current doctors justify the medications you currently are using? What is your current diagnosis?
The more information you can provide here, the easier it will be for other members to respond

  • Hey! Do you have insurance now? You really need to be seen by a board certified spine surgeon...even if you don't want surgery! You don't list lots of procedures like spine injections, nerve burning. Have you ever had anything like that done? I do know people who haven't slept in a bed in years & those with walkers & chairs but they've all been through surgeries...either failed or back before technology is what it is now. Have you ever had an MRI? That's the place to start. Then get it read by a specialist. I'm sorry you're living like this. There is so much more that can be tried. Sometimes it's about finding the right doctors to treat or manage the pain. I'm sorry.
