long term oxycondone to vicodin taper

edited 11/11/2014 - 5:41 AM in Pain Management
i've been on oxycodone for 10 years, never abused. i recently had lumbar l4-5s1 fusion and down to percocet 5-325. I'm very proud and pain seems tolerable. doctor knows my history, but wants to do a vicodin taper. I'm still in intensive physical therapy and he may even suggest back to work. i definitely can't go back to my former job in this condition. my question is the percocet to vicodin taper---what are my withdrawals going to be like? i take 5 percocets a day , so I'm still getting 25 oxy a day, so it vicodin going to ease withdrawals?
