5 c spine fusions since 2011

I have had 5 surgeries since 2011, which has resulted in c3-7 being fused. C5-6,6-7, have been done times and both have failed to fuse. I am diabetic which doesn't help much. I was just wondering if anyone has a similar story, the pain on most days, can get, well almost unbearable, I am on enough pain meds, to kill an elephant, but I hurt and suffer nearly every day. Is there anyone, with same problem, that hopes maybe 1 day, a little "normal" life may be possible. The littlest getting out and about will trigger hours of agony. Can anyone relate to what I'm saying?
