  • I had a laminectomy at c4-c5, along with a laminoforaminotomy at c5-c6 & c6-c7. I'm just shy of 4 weeks into recovery so I don't know that I can say exactly "how it went", as I'm so early into it and still having up & down days. I will say that the numbness I was experiencing in my hands has lessened so far. Used to be the entire finger, but now it's just the fingertips really. I had a posterior approach. It's been a bit hard to distinguish what's going on pain wise (muscle pain of the surgery itself versus pressure from having a hard collar on 24/7 versus actual bone pain) but I can definitely things are getting better.
  • I'm 14 weeks post op for laminectomy and in more pain now than prior to surgery. My MRIs show the surgery was a success but apparently my nerve was totally crunched.
  • I had a lamenecty decompression in July 2006. I was back to work at the postal service in October. I was good until July of 2011. Now have had an ALIF December 2013 and scheduling another surgery for the third week in January.
