My curio shove my head violently to the left. I'm w/ Kaiser Permanente, (hereafter K.P. they tried all minimal treatments- no joy. After 2 yrs. of mri's, cat scans, carpal tunnel, Ad Naseum, I realized when I told my surgeon I had to sell my biz of 22 yrs & 1/2 acre w/ all upgrades, 1 block from American River, for a split sec. He had a look of panic on his face. He operated on me 3weeks later ( that is light speed for K.P. ) About 6 months earlier, my left thumb, index & middle fingers felt like a bad burn w/ tingling. That was 2006. After fusing c-5,6,&7 together & removing their disks, the neuropathy I left hand was same. I was told it should improve. It's 2014 and some days it's worse. I had played guitar since 8th grade. When burning & tingling started, I had to quit, i use left hands fingers to make cords & play leads. It feels like pins shoved to the bone about time fingertips. I've tried some crazy things to play again, if any one has found relief for this kind of pain pls tell me. How about cold laser treatment? I tried to play a week ago & slid my index finger up 3 frets on hi E string, it felt like razor cut to the bone. I'm scared, music has always been my creative outlet. Pls tell me something that will help. I'm truly sorry this took so long. It's first time sharing it. Thank You John Lee

and possibly seeing a pain management doctor for further options regarding the nerve pain if nothing can be done surgically to ease the neuro pain? There are several options that a PM doctor may be able to help you with so that you can ease some of the pain and play guitar.
I started playing a year ago, and would be devastated to have to give it up. Or another option might be learning to play with a left handed guitar so you are forming the chords with your right hand.......
