Second fusion, Broken hardwear

Hi everyone,

In 2009 I had to have a fusion from my T12-L1,
Between now and then the 2 bottom screws have broken causing the hardwear to push out which is very visible lumps on my back,
After getting MRI, CT, Bones scans etc I am going to have a second fusion in 4-6 weeks, my spine failed to fuse back together, so now the surgeon has to remove the rod, top screws (he has to leave the broken ones in) and cut away a piece of my vertabrae. This second fusion he needs to now go higher and Lower, I believe from T11-L4, He has told me this is a major surgery, requires 2 spinal surgeons, take 6 hours and are a lot more risks this time around.
Has anyone had a successful second fusion done? How do you feel after?
He has said I'll have less movement, my lower back will be a lot stiffer, the stiffness doesn't worry me greatly but I'm only 23 so I want to be better, be able to walk and run and travel,

Any feedback would be great,
