Scar is tight

Hey everyone,
I had surgery on October 24,2014 it was my 3rd fusion and we did a partial hardware removal and a scar revision. I'm now about 9 weeks out. My scar is fairly wide (about 1/2 inch wide, 7 inches long) and if feels very tight. I go to massage because we are working on breaking down my scar tissue but sometimes in the morning it is so tight that I have difficulty moving my head. Is there anything you guys have done at home that has helped? I'm not currently allowed to do PT because last time I overdid it causing my screws to loosen and I had to have this surgery so we are being extra cautious and I won't be able to do PT til my 3 month or my 6 month mark. PT helped loosen my scar last time which is why I brought it up. Any tips? I don't remember it being this tight last time and it can be really painful!
