Question about battery replacement of lumbar stimulator

I had a lumbar stimulator implanted in 2007 & it has given me my life back. I am going to have to have the battery pack changed out soon & have been advised that it will need to be relocated. Originally placed in pocket in rt. buttock/hip. But due to migration & weight loss, doctor says, he will need to place it elsewhere. Options include side or abdomen. Anyone have a stimulator in either of these locations? Any issues with discomfort due to location? Any & all input would be most appreciated.
